Alison Malloy is a Managing Director at Connecticut Innovations, will describe CI today and its evolution, identify its success over the years including mention of a few big winners, and outline her vision for CI's future growth including the industries within its primary and secondary areas of investment interest. Within this context, she will provide an order of magnitude of investment available for qualifying companies and individuals as well a define the application process.

Speaker Biography:
Alison Malloy is a Managing Director at Connecticut Innovations and leads CI’s $50M Future Fund focused on underrepresented founders.  As an investor she is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, structuring investment terms and accelerating portfolio companies through active board participation. Alison has a strong background in financial management, sales, strategy and capital raising. She is the co-founder of Connecticut’s women investor network, Tidal River, and serves as a regular speaker, judge and member at several entrepreneur organizations, including Golden Seeds, Angel Investor Forum, Ladies Who Lead, UConn and Springboard Enterprises.  Alison was the CEO and co-founder of Design2Launch (D2L), a leading Connecticut-based tech startup in workflow collaboration for the pharma industry, with two successful exits, to Eastman Kodak Company in 2008 and Danaher in 2018. Alison started her investing career at the Slovak American Enterprise Fund in Slovakia. She worked for GE Capital and General Electric, graduated from GE Capital’s business financial management program, was the chief financial officer of the NBC Retail Experience Store in NYC, integrated the acquisition of the Mexican bank Banco Alianza with GE Capital Mexico, and led a management consulting practice for Arthur Andersen Management Consulting.  Alison graduated from Boston College and lives in Stamford, CT.
