Maymester: Call for Short-term faculty led exerpi

The Office of the Provost and Global Fairfield are pleased to announce an initiative to build more short-term faculty experiences abroad. Our immediate goal is to build a Maymester 2025: 6-8 experiences for undergraduate students; each lasting 8-14 days.

Maymester study abroad experiences can be offered as:

1-credit embedded experiences for students enrolled in 3-credit courses in Spring 2025 (15-20 additional contact hours) or
3-credit stand-alone courses (45 contact hours)

A $1000 stipend will be paid per course, after participation in a one-day workshop on January 10th ($500) and after the approval by the department / curriculum committee, risk management committee, and Dean ($500). Follow-up consultations will be held in February, March, and April.
