Campus Power Shutdown

To the University Community:

This is a reminder that this year’s campus power shutdown is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Please remember to shut down all sensitive office equipment (computers, printers, copiers) completely before leaving for the weekend. In the event of inclement weather, the shutdown will occur on Sunday, August 4, for the same time period.  

Since the Co-gen has come online, the shutdown will now affect most areas of campus; the following areas WILL NOT be affected during the shutdown:

Dolan  Estate House on generator- Limited power ,no AC

Townhouse 12-7 only

(Maintenance Complex)

Playhouse (PepsiCo Theatre)

South well Hall (Koslow Center)

The Early Learning Center (Day Care Facility)

Also, for future planning purposes, here is the proposed schedule for the next three years: 

Saturday, August 1, 2020 (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Sun Aug 2 Rain date 

Saturday, August 7, 2021 (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Sun Aug 8 Rain date

Saturday, August 6, 2022 (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Sun Aug 7 Rain date
