April is national Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Wednesday, April 26 is International Denim Day.
Date: 04-26-2023
Join us in wearing denim on April 26 to break the silence about sexual violence in our community. Denim Day's day of action is an event in which people are encouraged to wear denim to combat victim blaming and educate others about sexual violence.
Denim Day started after a 1998 Italian Supreme Court decision overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans. This led to a movement of women and allies wearing denim in solidarity with the survivor.
We are encouraging all to share pictures on their social media .
