Read Aloud Day with United Way

Calling all readers! Through our partnership with the United Way, we have been invited to join a read-aloud to celebrate the Week of the Young Child. Share a book and a laugh with happy 3-5 year-olds at Kolbe YMCA Preschool. We will be reading The Peace Book by Todd Parr; books will be provided.

Reading aloud to young children boosts vocabulary, stimulates brain activity, and promotes social-emotional development.  Research shows that “It is the single most important activity for building skills needed for later reading success.”
