LUCY KATZ CARE FELLOWSHIP (Care Team)

We are looking for our 2023-24 CARE Fellows. Application link provided below.

Lucy Katz, JD, former professor of business law and holder of The Robert C. Wright Professorship in Business Law, Ethics and Dispute Resolution, left an indelible imprint on the Fairfield University community. Her creation, along with Dr. Thomas Pelligrino, of the student peer mediation program provides training and certification for students who go on to serve their peers and the University. From this work the CARE Fellowship was formed.

A CARE (Community, Advocate, Relationship, Empower) Fellow plays a pivotal role in supporting relationships at Fairfield University. CARE Fellows work to cultivate healthy authentic connections across campus, especially when tension exists within a community, team, between partners, or roommates. CARE Fellows work to develop students’ consciousness around social justice. They cultivate a community that allows for individuals to come together and engage in dialogues on difficult topics, such as racism, sexism, gender oppression, heteronormativity, and much more.

Please share this opportunity with your students. Applications are due April 14th at noon.
