STEM Teaching Circle with CAE

The CAE is pleased to announce a teaching circle focused on best practices and challenges related to teaching STEM courses. This STEM-focused teaching circle will provide a space for faculty to share challenges and successes in their lecture and lab courses. We will meet monthly to learn from each other and discuss ideas for new ways to engage students. Let’s identify and share some best practices we have developed in our courses. Topics will include (but are not limited to):

• Engaging students in the Introductory/large STEM lecture classroom
• Lab and recitation sections in STEM courses: connecting the dots with lecture
• Quizzes and exams in STEM courses: sharing struggles and strategies for student success
• Strategies for making our courses inclusive for all students and learners
• Other topics of interest as generated by the group
