Student Stress Smash Event
Location: Outside the RecPlex
The Department of Recreation (RecPlex) is looking for donations of old plates, cups, pottery and the like. If you are cleaning your cabinets out over the Thanksgiving break and find chipped plates and/or items that you no longer need or use, please consider bringing them to campus and we will send someone over to pick them up. We will take your donations up to December 12.
Over finals, we will be offering a couple of dates/times when the students can write down any stressors on the plates and then smash them against a wall, hopefully providing them some release of tension and anxiety. While this is a temporary fix, it is pretty darn satisfying to smash a plate!
We know there has been some interest on the part of staff who would like to participate as well. Based on plate donations and the number of plates available, you will be able to join in the fun as well. We will keep you posted!
