Making the Case for Community-Engaged Work in Your Review and Promotion Materials
Date: 11-18-2022
Time: 01:30 PM
Location: Canisius 200
The Community-Engaged Learning Program in the Center for Social Impact will be hosting a screening of the webinar Making the Case for Community-Engaged Work in Your Review and Promotion Materials, offered by the Coalition on Community Writing, on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH FROM 1:30-3:00PM IN CANISIUS 200.
There are many resources available that help community-engaged teachers and scholars to frame, prepare and showcase their work in their review and promotion materials. However, the work we do is rich and diverse, the institutional contexts within which we operate are not easily generalizable, and unexpected challenges can often present themselves along the way. With these issues in mind, this 90-minute workshop will support participants to frame their specific review and promotion cases as a design challenge that involves understanding and mobilizing a complex and particular network of policies, documents, genres, compositional techniques, (inter)disciplinary norms, institutional cultures, tactical advocacy work, and allies on campus and beyond.
If you plan to join us, PLEASE RSVP here. Click here for complete info on the workshop. Snacks provided, discussion encouraged!
