The 16th Annual Lecture in Jewish/Christian Engagement | Burton Visotzky | Jewish Theological Seminary
Date: 04-07-2022
Time: 07:30 PM
Location: Dolan School of Business Event Hall and Livestreamed
The Bennett Center for Judaic Studies and the Center for Catholic Studies invites you to join us for the 16th Annual Lecture in Jewish/Christian Engagement, “Fratelli Tutti: the Good Samaritan and the Rabbi,” to be delivered by Rabbi Burton Visotzky, PhD, Professor of Midrash and Interreligious Studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
What are the limitations of interreligious dialogue? Are we really “all brothers and sisters?” Should we be wary of sibling rivalry? Rabbi Visotzky will discuss Pope Francis’s encyclical letter, “Fratelli Tutti,” and share his thoughts on the pope’s understanding of Vatican II’s famous “Nostra Aetate” declaration regarding the Church and non-Christian religions.
This is a HYBRID event. Thursday, April 7th at 7:30pm
