GlobalProtect and Pulse Secure VPN Certificate Update – Wednesday 3/16/22 starting at 5:30am
The reason for the outage:
The GlobalProtect and Pulse Secure VPN SSL certificates will expire on 3/20/22 and need to be replaced before 3/20.
The date and time of the shutdown:
Wednesday 3/16/22 at 5:30am
All work is expected to be complete by 6:30am.
Services that will be down:
The GlobalProtect and Pulse Secure VPNs will encounter short interruptions during the service window.
Services that will remain online:
The VPNs will be updated one at a time and tested before moving on to the next one. All other data services will be unaffected by the certificate update work.
If everything goes as planned:
Once work is complete, you shouldn't notice any interruptions in the GlobalProtect or Pulse Secure VPNs.
Who you should contact if you have concerns/questions:
After our updates are completed normal VPN Services will resume. If you find you are still unable to access the Fairfield University Global Protect VPN or Pulse Secure VPN, please contact the Fairfield ITS Helpdesk at itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu or by calling 203-254-4069.
