Time: 05:00 PM

Location: Library Multimedia Room and Livestreamed

The Center for Catholic Studies invites you to join us for our 2nd Living Theology Workshop of the semester.

How Do We Serve the Underserved?

The Catholic tradition stresses the rights of the poor and other underserved sectors of the population to good education. But what are Catholic colleges and universities doing to shoulder their responsibilities to the preferential option for the marginalized? Specifically, what are we doing at Fairfield and what could we do better? How can we buck the national trend towards a “preferential option for the rich”? This panel presentation will feature Dr. Melissa Quan, Director of Center for Social Impact, Ms. Meredith Smith, Associate Dean and Director of the Office of Residence Life, and Dr. Paul Lakeland, Director of the Center for Catholic Studies.

March 23rd | 5:00pm | Library Multimedia Room

This event will be in person free, and open to the public.
