Blessing of Throats

The blessing of throats on the Memorial of St. Blase will be offered at the conclusion of both the 12:30pm and 8:30pm Masses today. From the eighth century, St. Blase, bishop and martyr, has been invoked on behalf of the sick, especially those afflicted with illnesses of the throat.
