THE PASSOVER SEDER: Maror than Just A Dinner Party

The seder, the centerpiece of this festival, is a family centered ritualized meal consisting of symbolic and real foods as well as scripted speech and gestures.

 The workshop will examine the origins of the Pesach seder, explore the multidimensional nature of Passover with particular attention to the juxtaposed themes of slavery and freedom and the directives of vicarious experience and empathy. 

A light lunch will be served.
