Abstract

CTNext, a subsidiary of Connecticut Innovations, awarded UB a grant to grow and expand innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and commercialization for UB and UB partner institutions (e.g. Fairfield University, Housatonic Community College and Norwalk Community College) This will allow UB and UB partners to accelerate technology (e.g. broad STEM definition) inventions and startups to build new capabilities at each partner institution, expand its innovation and entrepreneurial capabilities and create potential new jobs and businesses in Connecticut.

A competitive grant available to UB and UB Partner faculty and students (students must work with a full time faculty member) will be awarded by UB for good ideas, additional invention research, market analysis and/or proof-of-concept analysis identified below:

UB's Innovation Grant Fund- UB has allocated funding for individual competitive grants not to exceed $5,000 each. A full time faculty member (PI) must be involved (with students) in every application. An overview of the grant description and application form can be found on the TCG web site.
