Spot the Bot (Workshop)

Wednesday, Nov. 17th from 5:00-6:15pm 

Offered by the DiMenna-Nyselius Library for Fairfield University faculty, staff, and students as part of the Media Literacy Event Series.

The Spot the Bot workshop seeks to help participants understand the dangers of disinformation on social media platforms and to empower them to take an active role in their information consumption through mass reporting efforts. Working together, participants will learn to reasonably identify red flags and to report bots, fake accounts, and fake content on Twitter.

5:00-5:45pm Presentation

5:45-6:15pm Hands-on workshop

No experience or Twitter account required. You may bring your own laptop or use the computers in the classroom.

A separate Spot the Bot workshop will be held virtually for alumni on the 16th.
