Human Library on 11/10 - are you or your students attending?

Unjudge someone at the Human Library^® on Wednesday, November 10^th. FYE Thrive for first-year students. Faculty and staff are invited to attend too to experience this “worldwide movement for social change.” 

There are 2 ways to attend the Human Library as a reader to speak with a “human book”: In-person at the Library OR virtually via Zoom. Human books are Fairfield University students, faculty, staff, or community members that have volunteered to share their life experiences and answer questions that address stereotypes, prejudices, stigmas, or taboo topics. Readers are current Fairfield University students, faculty, or staff. To attend virtually advanced registration is required to sign-up for a time slot with a specific book.  See Fairfield.edu/humanlibrary for more information.

The 6th annual Human Library is hosted by the DiMenna-Nyselius Library with co-sponsors including the: Center for Social Impact; Office of Student Engagement; Office of Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs. The following departments have representation on the planning committee: Athletics, Campus Ministry, Center for Social Impact, Counseling & Psychological Services, English, Marketing & Communications, Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality, Office of the Provost, Student Engagement, Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs, Online Learning, Residence Life, and Visual & Performing Arts.
