The Dolan School of Business welcomes Ursula Hurley ’04, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of JetBlue as guest speaker for the Dean’s Executive Forum: “Leading and Managing in Uncertain Times”. The event will be livestreamed on Tuesday, November 16, 5-6 p.m.
The program will discuss Covid-19’s impact on the industry, crisis management, and business strategy during the pandemic and beyond. Attendees will also learn about Hurley’s professional journey with a specific focus on recommendations for students. As CFO, Hurley is responsible for JetBlue’s overall financial strategy including accounting, audit, aircraft and engine transactions, cash management, corporate finance, fuel, and tax. She is also responsible for the company’s real estate and strategic sourcing units. A 17-year veteran of the airline, Hurley has held various roles in financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations throughout her career. Ursula is also the president of the JetBlue Foundation whose mission is to promote diversity in STEM education and create career paths for the next generation in aviation.
The Fairfield Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum series engages thought leaders and distinguished executives to discuss issues that have profound impacts on business and/or societies. The event will be moderated by Dean Zhan Li, DBA and Helena Keefe, PhD, assistant professor of economics.
