THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME

Tickets are on sale for Theatre Fairfield’s final show of the 2018-19 season, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a play by Simon Stephens based on the popular novel by Mark Haddon. Opening night is Wednesday, April 10, at 8:00 PM, in the Wien Black Box Theatre at the Quick Center. Additional performances are Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12 at 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 13 at 3:00 PM, and Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 PM. All tickets are sold through the Quick Center Box Office at X4010 or 1-877-ARTS-396. Student tickets are $5; seniors & university staff $10; general public $18; faculty, as always, come for free, but you still need a ticket, so please contact the box office to reserve your seat.

Park Lytle, ’21, plays Christopher Boone, the 15-year-old maths genius who has difficulty coping with everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of the block, he hates being touched, and he distrusts strangers. Nevertheless, he bravely embarks on a journey to find out who killed Wellington, the neighbor’s beloved dog, that will change his life. Park is supported by an extraordinary company of actor-dancers, all of whom play multiple roles: Carlin Fournier, ’22; Shannon Kelley, ’19; Jay Martins, ’21; Bridgit Murray, ’19; Romina Rabines, ’19; Mana Seike, our visiting Japanese exchange student; Michael Stack, ’22; and Fallon Sullivan, ’20. Samantha Millette, ’20, is Stage Manager with Amanda Bull, ’22, Assistant Stage Manager. Marti LoMonaco is Director with brilliant support by Brad Roth, Movement Director; Karl Ruling, Scenic Designer; Julie Leavitt, Costume Designer; Lynne Chase, Lighting Designer; and Anne Kendall, Technical Director. Lynne Porter is producing for Theatre Fairfield, a proud part of the Department of Visual & Performing Arts.
