Time: 06:00 PM
Location: The QUAD
Bring your chair and blankets. Watch award-winning filmmaker Bong Joon-ho's monster film "The Host" on big screen on the QUAD.
The Host's references to virus, to biosecurity, to quarantine, and its portrayal of the panic, confusion, fear caused by a pathogen-spreading monster are eerily prophetic and familiar. Bong is the filmmaker of "Parasite," which won the 2020 Academy Award for Best Picture.
This is part of HI-funded Film Series, "Asian Cinema as World Cinema." We have a companion lecture event on 10/18.
