Virtual Symposium: Anti-Racist Community-Engaged Learning: Principles, Practices, and Pedagogy

All faculty, staff, and students are invited to join an upcoming virtual symposium, organized by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, on Anti-Racist Community-Engaged Learning: Principles, Practices, and Pedagogy. The symposium will take place on Monday, September 20^th, with several sessions running from 11am to 4pm. For a complete schedule of the day’s virtual sessions, take a look at the event website. While many of the panelists will be speaking from the perspective of higher education community engagement or community-engaged learning, some of the sessions address anti-racist pedagogy, faculty development, research, communities of practice, and other campus-wide initiatives that may be of interest to us all.

The Center for Social Impact will be sponsoring in-person, on-campus viewing sessions for the 11am panel and the 12:45pm keynote panel, with a lunch in between. (On-campus location TBD.) The Center will also sponsor a limited number of virtual registrations, for those that are not able to come to campus and would like to attend the symposium remotely. (Please note: most of the symposium will not be recorded, so those that opt for virtual registrations should plan to attend the online sessions in real time.)
