Andrew Davenport, PhD candidate in History at Georgetown University and newly-appointed Public Historian at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (which oversees Monticello), will explore the historical underpinnings of American pottery, particularly the work of Black potters, in a talk presented in conjunction with the exhibition Roberto Lugo: New Ceramics (Bellarmine Hall Galleries).
