The presentation will discuss how co-founders Anya Ranganathan and Stefanie Katzman identified inefficiencies in agriculture supply chains and launched Bad Apple Produce to monetize on them. Bad Apple Produce is a produce delivery service with a mission to reduce food waste. The company recovers fruits and vegetables at risk of ending up in a landfill due to excess supply and minor cosmetic defects that do not impact taste, nutritional content, or shelf life. Because of its atypical sourcing model, Bad Apple offers prices up to 50% cheaper than conventional retail.
Co-founder Anya will touch on:

How to identify a market opportunity
How to develop a product that addresses customers' needs
The basics of building pricing models that account for fluctuating commodity costs
How to motivate customers to make the behavioral changes associated with adopting your product / services
How to stretch dollars in a cash-strapped venture
