This Summer, Redesign Your Courses to Meet the Signature Elements of the Magis Core!

Location: Zoom

The Magis Core Leaders, the Center for Academic Excellence, and the Core Writing Program have worked together to offer three opportunities for faculty professional development, one for each of the Magis Core Signature Elements.  Please see below for opportunities to develop your courses in these areas.

Course Design Institutes for the Social Justice and Interdisciplinary Learning Signature Elements of the Magis Core

In conjunction with the Magis Core Leadership, the Center for Academic Excellence will offer two 2-day online course design institutes (CDIs) to assist full-time faculty in the development of courses meeting the Social Justice or Interdisciplinary Signature Elements of the Magis Core. Each two-day CDI will take place from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and be delivered in an online format that includes both asynchronous and synchronous activities. The CDI includes a third, middle day that should be reserved by participants for CDI-related independent work on their course. Each participant will receive $500 when they complete the CDI and an additional $500 when their Core course is submitted for consideration to the Social Justice or Interdisciplinary Element subcommittees of the Magis Core.
