If They Had Known
Date: 04-29-2021
Time: 07:00 PM
Location: Zoom Meeting
The University’s Alcohol and Other Drug Committee is presenting an Alcohol Awareness Month event on Thursday, April 29, 7pm-8pm to commemorate Alcohol Awareness Month with a viewing of “If They Had Known”, a documentary of the events that led to college sophomore Clay Soper’s overdose and death after he mixed alcohol and prescription pills at a party.
This 30 minute film will be followed by the brief story of addiction and recovery from Fairfield University’s own Brian Dolan. Brian used alcohol, drugs, and gambling as a way to self-medicate and cope with his own college experience until he got clean and sober four years ago. Today, he is our Collegiate Recovery Program house manager and shares his story of experience, strength, and hope with others in need of support and guidance.
