Over the course of three evenings March 22-24 and in virtual format, Fairfield University’s 8th Annual American Studies Conference: Democracy and Citizenship in the United States brings together students and guest speakers in these fraught times to reflect on democracy and citizenship in the United States past, present, and future. The interdisciplinary, dynamic conference features sessions of student scholarly presentations in panel format, a roundtable discussion of the 2020 election by local election officials, and a keynote by Crystal Parikh, Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis and English at NYU.
