Community-Engaged Learning Course Development Grants

Dear Faculty,

The Center for Social Impact’s Community-Engaged Learning Program is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Community-Engaged Learning Course Development Grants.

For faculty who are interested in developing a new Community-Engaged Learning course or revising an existing course to include Community-Engaged Learning, we offer our Course Development and Co-Mentoring Program Grants. These grants and the resulting Co-Mentoring Program have been in existence for over 10 years and have led to the development of over 50 community-engaged learning courses.  We continue to offer this grant opportunity as our primary pathway for developing sustainable community-engaged learning courses as well as a strong community of scholar-practitioners.  Each award is $2,750.

For those interested in learning more about Community-Engaged Learning and the course development process, there will be an INFO SESSION on Thursday, March 19th at 11am via Zoom. REGISTER/RSVP for the info session here.

The application can be downloaded here. Proposals are due on Friday, April 9, 2021. Faculty should submit completed proposals to andrea.canuel@fairfield.edu.

If you have additional questions, please contact Andrea Canuel, Associate Director for Community-Engaged Learning or Betsy Bowen, Faculty Chair of Community-Engaged Learning and Professor of English.
