21-Day Racial Equity Challenge Drop-In Session: Catholic Social Teaching, the Gospel and Race
Date: 02-09-2021
Time: 03:00 PM
Location: Join Zoom Meeting https://Fairfield.zoom.us/j/97305597494 Meeting ID: 973 0559 7494
Please join us in the Center for Catholic Studies for a discussion of how the tradition of Catholic Social Teaching informs and challenges the Catholic Church’s record on racial justice. We will look at some of the material from the Ignatian Solidarity Network’s 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge. We will also add some insights from Pope Francis’s later letter, Fratelli Tutti, on political love and the importance of dialogue in forming social friendship. Paul Lakeland, Director of the Center for Catholic Studies, will lead a student-focused dialogue.
This drop-in session is an opportunity for those who are participating in the campus-wide 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge as individuals to discuss themes, reflect, and share insights in a group setting. Come to learn and to participate.
