Save the Date: CAE Back-to-School Workshop Week, January 11 - 15, Invites Faculty to Reflect on Lessons Learned

As you wrap up your semester of teaching, research, and service, we invite you to mark your calendars for the Center for Academic Excellence’s Back-to-School Workshops the week of January 11, 2021. We’ll offer an array of workshops to assist you in integrating learnings from the Fall semester as you prepare for a new one.  Crafted around the tried-and-true clean-and-sort method of figuring out what to keep and what to throw away, the Center will invite faculty to reflect on their lessons learned, while also offering new methods and best practices for engaged teaching and learning in our hybrid and online classes.  

Last, along with all of you, we will celebrate your accomplishments during a most extraordinary 2020.  We will keep some of our classics (like the Writing Retreat and the Syllabus Drop-In), welcome a fresh look at the semester that was, and look forward to preparations for the challenges of the year ahead.  We are eager to learn the lessons of COVID along with you, in January, and to put all that hard-won learning into practice in the new year.
