Registration open- Speak with a "Human Book" at the 5th annual Human Library on 10/23 (virtual)

Sign-up for a 30 min. virtual one-on-one conversation with a "Human Book" on Friday, Oct. 23^rd.  Human Books are Fairfield University students, faculty, and staff that have a personal story to share that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. This is the 5th year the DiMenna-Nyselius Library is hosting The Human Library®.

See the link below for a list of the Human Books that you can sign-up to speak with between 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm on Oct. 23rd.  Conversations are between one Human Book and one “Reader” via Zoom so therefore registration is capped to 1 individual for each 30 min. conversation time listed on the library events page. Registration closes 24 hours in advance of the event. A Zoom link will be sent to your email 1 day prior to the event.  Due to the limited number of time slots in this new virtual event format, we ask that you only sign-up for one slot. The Human Library is an international movement for social change that started in Denmark in the year 2000 and has since made its way through over 80 countries. The Human Library at Fairfield University was created with the permission of the Human Library Organization. Fairfield University's 2020 Human Library is co-sponsored by the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, the Office of Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs, Marketing & Communications Department, Campus Ministry, Center for Faith and Public Life, Counseling & Psychological Services, Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality, Athletics, and Student Affairs.
