Center for Academic Excellence - Application for Faculty Liaisons 2020-2021

The Center for Academic Excellence invites applications from faculty across the university to serve as Faculty Liaisons during the 2020-2021 year. The Center seeks applicants who are interested in supporting faculty development and innovation in teaching and learning. For the coming year, we are particularly interested in hiring liaisons who model and can support innovative and active learning pedagogies in a variety of modalities.

 Faculty liaisons support the work of the Center in several ways, including (but not limited to): 1) facilitating communication between their school and the CAE; 2) conducting Mid-Semester Evaluations of teaching; 3) leading or co-leading one faculty development workshop or event; 4) consulting with faculty about their teaching; and 5) supporting and promoting the priorities of the Center.

Compensation for faculty liaisons is $2500 for one semester; we are looking to hire liaison for the Fall and Spring semesters. Faculty interested in applying should send a brief (one-page maximum) description of their faculty development experience and their areas of pedagogical strength to cae@fairfield.edu by August 12, 2020.
