Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality Triduum Celebration in honor of the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola
Date: 07-28-2020
Time: 01:00 PM
Location: Dolan House
On July 31, the Church celebrates the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Sometimes referred to as a “soldier for Christ,” Saint Ignatius worked to strengthen the Kingdom of God on earth by trying to be like Christ in everything he did. He and the order he started, the Society of Jesus, known as the Jesuits, moved beyond the monastery walls to become missionaries around the world.
The Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality of Fairfield University, in collaboration with Fairfield University Campus Ministry, will honor Saint Ignatius with a triduum celebration leading in to his feast day. A virtual retreat will focus on the life and graces of St. Ignatius followed by a companion prayer reflection.
