Network Production Downtime Saturday June 27^th from 4AM to 12PM

The reason for the outage:

ITS will be installing new hardware and making configuration changes to support enhanced Network Performance and improve Network Security.

The date and time of the shutdown:

Saturday June 27^th from 4am to 12pm

Services that will be down:

This work will interrupt all network traffic into, and out of Fairfield University. These upgrades will have impact to most systems on Campus that utilize the Data Network (Some Desk Phones, Outlook, File Shares, Fairfield.edu, Public Safety Radios). Access to Hosted systems (Blackboard, Workday, my.fairfield.edu) will also be temporarily unavailable.

Services that will remain online:

Fire and Life Safety Systems will continue to operate.  Some older style phones, and emergency phones will continue to operate. 

If everything goes as planned:

As soon as the work is completed normal network traffic will commence.

What do we need you to do:

Please test your applications beginning at noon on Saturday the 27th. If you are unable to perform your normal operations via your application, we are asking you to call X4069 for our Support Team.
