Catholic Belonging: Why I Stay
It’s a well-known fact that the third largest group in American religion is made up of former Catholics. But lots of people stay, even if it is not an easy choice.
This panel will feature three people who in different ways represent groups for whom the pressure to leave is often great: women, LGBTQ persons and younger Catholics in general. The panelists are:
Betsy Bowen, Professor of English at Fairfield University
Mark Wallace, M.D., Psychiatrist
Elyse Raby, Fairfield class of '08, Ph.D. candidate in Theology at Boston College
Please join us to hear their stories and share in a conversation about belonging and leaving.
This Event is Free and Open to the Public.
