Arturo Brandt is a globally recognized environmental lawyer based in Santiago, Chile, with expertise in sustainability, low carbon economies, climate change, climate finance, emissions trading, renewable energy, environmental compliance, legislation and litigation, and market brokerage for the carbon and biomass industries.  With more than 15 years of experience across the Americas, Europe, and Asia (specifically in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Swiss, Spain, Japan, China, and Singapore), Mr Brandt will share his knowledge of climate change and the global economy from a global perspective.  His work includes consulting and leadership in interdisciplinary task forces in the environmental field across Latin America. 

Mr Brandt's former professional posts include The World Conservation Union – IUCN, the Environmental Law Centre in Bonn, Germany, Poch Ambiental (a Leading Environmental Consulting in South America), and Senior Latin American Project Manager for First Climate.  Currently, he serves as a Senior Broker for Latin American Environmental Markets with Tradition Green as well as an Associate Lawyer at Vial Serrano, a leading Chilean law firm.  He is also the current Executive Secretary of the Chilean Association for Environmental Law, member of the Commission for Environmental Law at IUCN, Adjunct Professor at both Vermont Law School for Global Energy Law and Policy, as well as several Universities in Chile on Climate Change and Low Carbon Economy Policy, and Senior Fellow for Latin American Climate, Energy Law and Policy for the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law School.  He has been nominated as a noteworthy attorney in the environmental section of the English publication, “Who is Who Legal” for the years 2010 through 2015, and Climate Change 2019.
