Nov 12 - Hip Hop Reimagined with Dr. Lauren Leigh Kelly

Dr. Lauren Leigh Kelly, Associate Professor of Urban Teacher Education Learning & Teaching at Rutgers University, will lead students in a workshop that offers genres of hip hop literacies to collaborate around community building discussions. Through creative writing activities inspired by genres of hip hop coupled with discussion, the hope is to enrich the possibilities of what it means to be an engaged member of the Fairfield University campus and the surrounding community. Students will participate in this workshop with students from Fairfield Warde High School as well.
