Book Talk – Dr. Nasreen Rehman’s The Collected Stories of Saadat Hasan Manto

Please join us for food, refreshments and a discussion about the Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto led by the author/translator Dr. Nasreen Rehman. Dr. Rehman, a former economist with a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge, will reflect upon her lifelong engagement with Manto, the world of cinema in which he lived, and his insights into the human condition. Together, we will read and discuss one (maybe two) of Manto’s short stories related to the Partition of India and Pakistan.
