Learn about the extraordinary collaboration between a Wall Street lawyer (Stimson) and an Army lifer (Marshall) paired together as Secretary of War and Chief of Staff by President Franklin Roosevelt in June 1940 to prepare the nation for World War II and then fight it. Tickets are priced at $35 for the general public, $5 for Fairfield University students, and $25 dollars for members of the Quick Center. Fairfield University and Prep Faculty and Staff enjoy one free ticket to each event, with additional discounts available for guest tickets. Written on his commute from Connecticut to New York City each day, Edward Aldrich offers insight on each man’s life prior to 1940 and their prodigious efforts in running the Army and Air Force during the War, a performance Aldrich considers the greatest feat of management in the history of the world. After attending Colgate University and receiving an MBA in finance from Boston College, Aldrich embarked on a career in banking working in New York, Zurich, and London. His professional experiences give him a global and credible perspective on the extraordinary partnership he narrates
