CAE Call for Faculty Liaisons for 2025-2026

The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) invites applications from full-time faculty (NTT & TT) to serve as CAE Faculty Liaisons during the 2025-2026 year. The Center seeks applicants who are enthusiastic about supporting faculty development and innovation in teaching and learning.

Faculty liaisons support the work of the Center in a variety of ways. They help facilitate communication and engagement between their school and the CAE, conduct Mid-Semester Evaluations of Teaching (MATs), and take the lead on a faculty development initiative, workshop, or event. Liaisons also consult with colleagues about their teaching and help promote the Center’s priorities across the university.

For the 2025–2026 year, we are especially seeking applications from faculty with experience and interest in any of the following areas:

  • Pedagogical uses of AI in teaching and learning
  • Collaborating with departments to develop mentoring models for all of their faculty
  • Designing and teaching accessible and inclusive courses
  • Supporting Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) projects and initiatives
  • Integrating Ignatian pedagogy across the disciplines

Compensation for faculty liaisons is $2,500 for one semester (liaisons are hired for fall or spring terms). We are also looking to hire liaisons to focus expressly on conducting MATs; these MAT-only liaisons will earn $1,250 for a semester (please indicate if you are applying for the MAT-only position).

Faculty interested in applying should complete the application at the following link: https://form.123formbuilder.com/6864456/cae-liaison-application

The application includes a description of your faculty development experience and interests with respect to one or two of the five areas of focus above. Applications due by August 4, 2025. Questions can be directed to Emily Smith at esmith@fairfield.edu.
