The Open VISIONS Forum continues with Walter Kirn's presentation on Wednesday, March 19th. "From Rural Country Highway Magazine to the Boston Post Road: Walter Kirn's American Journey" will being at 7:30 p.m. in the Dolan School of Business Event Hall. Tickets will be $35 for the general public, $ 5 dollars for Fairfield University students, and $25 for members of the Quick Center. 
Critically acclaimed author and cultural commentator Walter Kirn takes the stage for an evening of sharp wit and storytelling. Known for Thumbsucker and Up in the Air—both adapted into major films—Kirn has chronicled the quirks and contradictions of American life in his writing and as co-host of the podcast America This Week. His memoir, Lost in the Meritocracy: The Undereducation of an Overachiever, explores his journey from rural Minnesota to the Ivy League, offering a candid look at class, ambition, and the pursuit of success.

Join us as Kirn brings his uniquely American perspective to Fairfield, weaving together tales from the heartland of Montana to the corridors of power and prestige. With humor and insight, he unpacks the ever-changing American experience, making this an evening not to be missed.
