Adobe Creative Cloud Synced files Discontinued as of 02/03/2025

Date: 02-03-2025

Beginning February 3, 2025, Adobe will discontinue the Creative Cloud content synchronization process and the associated synced file and folder sharing functionalities. As part of this change, all cloud-based copies of synced files will be permanently removed.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • No More Synchronization: Assets in your local Creative Cloud Files folder will no longer sync with Creative Cloud storage. However, your files will remain intact in the local Creative Cloud Files folder on your device.
  • Shared Folders and Assets: Files and folders previously shared via Creative Cloud Synced files will no longer be accessible to others, including colleagues and external partners.

Recommended Actions:
To ensure a smooth transition, please take the following steps:

  1. Inform Your Teams: Communicate this upcoming change to all users on your teams.
  2. Back Up Important Assets: Ensure all critical organizational assets are safely backed up to a location outside of the Creative Cloud Files folder or to Dropbox (reliable third-party cloud storage provider).

Please note that Adobe will not notify individual users about this change, so it is essential to act proactively.
