Chief Information Officer (CIO) Update
Happy New Year and Welcome Back to Campus for the Spring Semester!
We have an exciting spring coming up for the University, with many system improvements coming your way.
Most importantly, we are in the process of going live with our Workday Student Information System, which will be used for advising and registering for the fall term coming up within the next two months. For more information about this exciting development, please check out the project website at https://workdaystudent.fairfield.edu and look for more updates in the coming weeks.
Along with our Workday Student project, we are moving to two solutions that work more efficiently with Workday, including StarRez for our student housing system to replace Adirondack’s “The Housing Director,” and 25Live for our all other room management needs, replacing EMS.
Also coming this spring, we will be migrating all faculty and staff to Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online for our email services. And for students, we are rolling out multi-factor authentication using Duo to further protect our community. Both of these initiatives will be implemented in phases this spring.
Look for more information about these initiatives in the next few weeks and months.
Have a great semester!
