Community-Engaged Learning Course Development Grants
Date: 02-05-2025
Time: 12:00 PM
Location: Fredrickson Family Innovation Lab
Dear Faculty,
The Center for Social Impact’s Community-Engaged Learning Program is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 Community-Engaged Learning Course Development Grants.
Community-engaged learning (CEL) is an experiential approach to teaching and learning. Through CEL, students have the opportunity to enhance their learning and contribute to positive social impact by working alongside community partners on projects and activities that connect with credit-bearing courses. For faculty who are interested in developing a new CEL course or revising an existing course to include CEL, we offer our Course Development and Co-Mentoring Program Grants. This grant is the primary pathway for developing sustainable community-engaged learning courses as well as a strong community of scholar-practitioners. Each award is $2,750.
For those interested in learning more about Community-Engaged Learning and the course development process, there will be an INFORMATION SESSION on Wednesday, February 5th, from 12-1:30pm in the Fredrickson Family Innovation Lab in the library (lunch provided). Please RSVP for the information session here: https://forms.office.com/r/v9hUuE9j5S
If you are not able to attend the on-campus event, we are happy to meet individually with faculty who are interested to learn more and discuss potential courses/projects.
The application for the grant can be downloaded here. Proposals are due on March 21, 2025.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
