Dr. Walter Zhang is the Founder of Standard Manufacturer for America (SMA) LLC.  For the past 15 years, SMA has been at the forefront of new product development, helping over 350 companies bring their ideas from concept to reality. SMA’s clients include industry leaders such as Siemens, Boston Dynamics, Boeing, Coherent, GE, and Hitachi.

With over 25 years of experience in the industry, he is passionate about driving efficiency, quality, and sustainability in manufacturing processes. Walter has a degree in civil engineering from Tsinghua University and advanced research experience from Yale University.
