Owls' string quartet will be performing at the Quick on Sunday, November 3rd. The special program is made possible through the generous support of the Howard and Katherine Aibel Foundation and the Lundberg Family Foundation. Tickets will be $35 for the general public, $25 for members of the Quick Center, and $5 for Fairfield University students.
Owls' string quartet, featuring two cellos instead of the traditional two violins, brings a bold and innovative approach to their performances. With violinist Alexi Kenney, violist Ayana Kozasa, cellists Gabriel Cabezas and Paul Wiancko, the ensemble skillfully blends new compositions with original arrangements spanning centuries of music, from the 1600s to the present.
Known for their boundary-pushing artistry, Owls' performances are immersive, emotional, and unlike any other. The quartet's unique instrumentation and creative spirit ensure each concert offers a fresh and exhilirating exploration of sound.
