Nita Farahany continues the Open VISIONS Forum with her talk "The Battle for Your Brain: Ethical, Legal, Social Implications of New Technologies" on Thursday, October 17, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be $35 dollars for the public, $25 for members of the Quick Center, and $5 for University students. 

Farahany is a leading expert on the ethical and legal challenges posed by emerging neurotechnologies. As a professor at Duke University and author of Battle for Your Brain, she will offer critical insights into how these technologies could affect our most fundamental right- the freedom of thought. Her expertise promises to spark thought-provoking discusssions on the future of mind and technology. 

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to hear from a scholar whose influence extends from advising global organizations to testifying before Congress on bioethical issues. Farahany's talk will explore the real-world impact of neurotechnologies on society, law, and personal freedoms.
