Communicating Catholicism | John Grosso on Catholic Social Media | "Tweeting and Tradition"

Date: 10-16-2024

Time: 05:00 PM

Location: Kelley Presentation Room | Kelley Center

“Tweeting and Tradition” – at 5:00 pm on October 16th in the Kelley Presentation Room (Kelley Center), John Grosso, Digital Editor for The National Catholic Reporter, will speak on “Tweeting and tradition: Communicating for a 2,000 year-old institution,” addressing the opportunities and challenges of Catholic social media.

With experience in media and marketing from the Vatican to the parish, John Grosso has also served Catholic philanthropy as well as working for four years as the Director of Digital Media for the Diocese of Bridgeport. Keenly aware of the dynamics of media today, he has moved between working for the Church and his current post at an independent media outlet – all as the Catholic Church has weathered critical issues both internal and external. How can this be done effectively and honestly, in a way that reflects depth and complexity? This is the second event in the Center for Catholic Studies Fall 2024 series, “Communicating Catholicism.”
