On Thursday, October 17, 7:30 - 9:00 pm the Waide Center for Applied Ethics will host an evening with Nita Farahany at the Quick Center for the Arts. 

Nita Farahany, JD, PhD, is a leading scholar on the ethical, legal, and social implications of emerging technologies, including developing neurotechnologies that interface with the human brain or nervous system. She is professor of law and philosophy at Duke University and the faculty chair of the Duke MA in Bioethics and Science Policy. Farahany is the author of the book The Battle for Your Brain: Defending Your Right to Think Freely in the Age of Neurotechnology.

Please encourage your students to attend. The Waide Center for Applied Ethics is pleased to cover the $5 registration fee that the Quick Center charges students (Quick Center events are free-of-charge to faculty). For students to receive free tickets, they need to fill out the google form linked below. The Waide Center will compile the list of students attending the event and provide it to the Quick Center.
