Commonweal in Conversation: A Virtual Seminar on Catholicism and Gender
Date: 03-13-2024
Time: 05:00 PM
Location: Webinar
Please join us for our next webinar in this series this Wednesday, March 13th at 5 pm, featuring Professor Natalia Imperatori Lee, from Manhattan College. Prof. Lee works in the area of Catholic ecclesiology, focusing on how narrative – how we tell our stories, who is listened to, what gets foregrounded – shapes our experience of religion, particularly the Catholic faith. Her most recent book, Cuentame, lifts up liberating themes for feminist and LatinX women, its very title, “Tell me,” naming her approach.
Her title for this Wednesday’s presentation continues this conversation: “‘Women's Experience’ or idle tales? Gender and story in the Church today.” Commonweal’s Mollie Wilson O’Reilly will comment on her presentation; we will then look forward to your questions.
This Wednesday’s webinar will take place from 5:00-6:00 pm, registration is required for access, please register HERE
