"What We Hear When Catholics Talk About Gender"
Date: 07-14-2024
Time: 05:00 PM
Location: Webinar, registration required
The Catholic Church’s understanding of gender, sex and sexuality has emerged as a crisis for many in the pews, a rallying point for others, and a deal-breaker for younger adults who step away from Catholicism.
In this new series on contemporary questions, important voices from Commonweal magazine will join thinkers from across the Catholic landscape to chart potential pathways forward. These hour-long web events will be live-streamed, and archived for references on the Catholic Studies website.
The first event is this Wednesday, February 7th, from 5-6 pm, featuring Ellen Koneck, Executive Director and Mollie Wilson O'Reilly, Editor-at-Large, Commonweal Magazine, titled "What we hear when Catholics talk about gender."
A second event will be on March 13th, 5-6 pm, and the final event will be on April 3rd, 5-6 pm.
